I'd of liked that area more, I was mostly escaping my area. I was in Nowon-gu. I'd spend the mornings in kangnam and the weekends traveling around to different areas like Bundang. I'd go back to visit but I doubt I could stay another year without hurting myself, it just didn't mesh well with my personality. Nothing against korea, I just wasn't a great match for it at the time.
i didn't live in Bundang...too expensive. Yongsan-gu was great because of all of the Western comforts. That and you could spend every minute not working drunk and yelling at police in Itaewon

sadly I too have yelled at the Korean police, lazy bastards that they were. My fiance (at the time) was attacked by some byungshin in the park when I was not with her and we called the police and they laughed and hung up. When I got there 15 min. later the guy was still there so I decided to use the several Korean curse words I knew to have a less than intelligent conversation with him. He went towards her again and I decked him in the face and knocked him out. I have no idea how I did that because I haven't hit anyone since the 5th grade....But anyways, then the cops showed up and wanted to arrest me but I was acting so irrate they just didn't want to deal with the crazy foriegner. I kept yelling at them to put me in the cell with him followed by a bunch of explitives and they finally just said, in English, one punch one punch equal and walked off. I think a stay in a Korean jail would have made for a better story, and I'm a bit ashamed that I acted like the typical arrogant loud mouthed and violent American stereotype. But, anyways I liked that canadian bar in Itawaen, did you ever go to Buddha's Belly? To this day that is the best Thai food I have ever had and I've lived in Thailand for a bit.

yeah the belly was good and i was a fixture for a while at the Rocky Mountain tavern because they showed all of the NHL playoff games.
My story involves being drunk and thinking that a store owner stole my t money card. I had taken a cab back soused off of my ass, and i realized i didn't have enough cash to pay the guy. I went into a 7/11 and traded my t money card for some cash, and don't remember why i got angry afterwards. All I know is that the guy called the cops on me, and when they got there i started calling them zipperheads and screaming that i wanted my fucking money. They pretty much just kept saying "go home".
It is amazing at how they are really scared of us...i mean i am a pretty big dude, to a korean i suppose i'm even bigger, but i am still surprised i didn't get tazed or something. Had i been Korean there would have been 10 cops on me beating the shit out of me, i've seen it with my own eyes. I've even seen some ajima get smashed in the face by a cop because she was trying to beat up her drunk husband in the street.
On St Patty's day, 2 irish guys were brawling all over downtown itaewon in the middle of the street, even slamming themselves in the cars waiting in traffic. This went on for a good 15 minutes with about 6 cops watching and laughing.
ps chili taco 4 life....or that "upscale" burger joint i forget the name of for the win.

Just watched a horrible film: It took place in the Middle Ages (God, I hate everything from that era) and Claire Foy appeared naked only once... and even then I couldn't see anything worth the 5 dollars I paid!
She's so fit... but, it's also weird. She looks funny because she's English, but she's also attractive! I mean, the girl I used to have in my avatar was also British, but she wasn't just a pretty face, if you know what I mean

the isles played the dirtiest game i've seen in a long time. Despicable, and I say this as a Pens hater. Cheap shot after cheap shot...this is not how the game should be played..it is the NHL not the WWE. I'm all for the rough stuff, but dirty play is dirty play. You get revenge face to face, not by trying to sucker punch players from behind. This is why the Isles organization is in the toilet.

I think that they got what they deserved for a part. Some of it was OTT for sure, esp the attempted sucker punch but they're the man utd of the NHL. Alright when it's all going for them, moaning when it's not. Some of their players were just as guilty on this night. Orpik is as dirty as they come but never seems to get called on it. However, I think the officials should've done their homework. They knew this was going to be a brutal matchup after the history 3 weeks ago and it's some of the worst officiating I've seen in watching NHL. I'm also still pissy at the pens moaning about the 'dirty hit' on crosby in the winter classic when it was fair and Sydney was playing with his head down and also the fact that Cooke is as dirty as they come. Good for a (near) neutral however
