Awesome, Jan! I have added your set to the OP. My company just changed their "work from home" policy so I might not get a chance to listen to it during a work day, but I will hopefully be able to make some time soon.
We have 7 more participants to submit a mix! This isn't really a hard deadline but it would be pretty amazing to see everyone finish before the new year. If not, at least submit your mix before signing up for next year's challenge

Good stuff. I'll probably end up listening to Jan's before I get to Nick's. I can put on a downtempo/housey set in the background while cooking with my partner and four hours will pass quickly, but I'm not sure blasting psy trance will go down so smoothly. I'm still trying to think of the ideal context to optimise it, now that I don't run long distance anymore. |
Yeah, I hear you, but hopefully I can dispel the notion that this set is blasting for 5.5 hours. It's a lot more palatable than a majority of my mixes, lots of laid back sections and the techno bit is like 122-126 BPM. Although I do crank up the intensity for a couple hours in there
Not sure what you would consider an ideal context for it, I guess I tried to execute the challenge as you originally intended, playing all night at a club. For home listening in one go I would picture myself and some friends playing pool or video games and drinking while this plays in the background. Realistically, though, it might take me a few days to work through it since a lot of times I can only listen for 15-45 minutes at a time.
