I have to disagree, Komisarek has been playing really well the last two weeks, I just think he needed his grounding. Just because he has one point doesn't mean anything, we didn't get him for that, that's why he never plays the PP. He is great in one on one battles and played really well against Ottawa the other night, prob his best game of the year so far.
Poni is the man, defensively and offensively. Stajan too, he's getting a lot of good chances and I will take his 10 goals this season so far.
Blake is really the only one I can complain about at this time, it was painful to watch him play in Ottawa, his goal was shit and his chances are worse. he's dead weight and he need to get rid of him. |
I know Komi wasn't acquired for scoring/assisting goals, but up until just recently (talkin past 2 or 3 games) he's done practically nothing to help the team.
I was a big Poni hater for a long time, but some kind of switch must have went off in his head letting him realize he's a big dude and has power. I'm very happy with how he's playing now.
And you're right, Stajan is making a difference, too.
Blake just can't get it together. I'd like to feel sorry for the guy but the way he plays just doesn't allow for much sympathy.

I am still waiting for more from Kessel. All I see with him is another blake with a faster release on the puck. |
Kessel has far more vision than Blake. Black will skate into impossible situations, at least Kessel will go in having a plan B.
Oh, and he actually scores.. unlike Blake.
Still, I agree with you on the fact that Kessel came at a decent price.. but that price has yet to be established.
I'm sure Burke foresaw that we were going to be about middle of the pack in terms of draft, so we shouldn't be giving up that much.
