Saving. I happened to have no place to spend my money other than gas and insurance, so I saved it all for my gear; that's the perk of being 17 (18, now) and wanting decks. All you have to do is have some patience. You may want it now, but you can get better gear if you save-up and wait.

Thanks for the compliments I should be getting the blue/silver empath tomorrow or friday so I'll set it up & if it doenst match the setup then I'll swap for the grey one.
I jus think the grey one is a bit boring & I'd imagine the blue empath will stand out more!
I'll post pics of it in a couple of days. I can get a vote as to which one goes better with my setup

i only saved enough for a numark dxm06 and a pair of cdj 200's
when i want to get were cdj 1000's and a pioneer djm 600...lol
yeah...patience is the key...but i'm happy with my stuff right now...hopefully i'll upgrade them to my wished gear

well i did just what everyone else did and thats save. I also went secondhand on the turntables but bought my mixer new but still cheaper than retail..
decks £420, mixer £230 (seen for £200 now!! typical)
decks shud've been ~£700, mixer £300..
