Thing is I mainly produce ambient music so I am not really sure how much monitor speakers would help. I usually produce my tracks with my Sennheiser 280s. Towards the end after I get all the levels worked out I listen to the track with some non monitor headphones (Sennheiser PC 360).
I have a 24 bit/192khz internal sound card that has ASIO drivers but I have been considering getting something external so I don't have to switch between ASIO drivers to record my TB-3 and hear sound in Reaper.
