Anyone ever done it?

Anyone know anyone that has done it?

Are there still gas stations out in the sticks?

Am I over thinking it?

Also, where the fuck did they film trailer park boys?

I've done the drive. It is a long one but you will not run out gas, even in the sticks.

TPB was filmed in Nova Scotia which is almost the complete opposite direction in distance from Calgary to Toronto.

Have a safe trip and enjoy the scenery of this great country!!

What's boring to you, might not be boring to me.

I've never done it but a few friends have driven from Toronto to Vancouver. And many say (and I believe) that the drive through Saskatchewan is mind numbing and brutal.

People I know who cross from Toronto to the west usually go south through the states and then west then up through Calgary or Vancouver.

I've done it a few times. Gas along the transcanada isn't a problem. Even driving through the middle of the night, you won't get into trouble as long as you look ahead on your map and figure out where you'll have to make stops. Anyone that says the drive sucks probably hasn't done it. The north shore of Lake Superior and Georgian bay is very scenic. The Prairies aren't for everyone, but I liked them. There's just something about the big sky kind endless fields that's cool to me. How many days are you going to do it in? Are you going to just do the mad drive and go as hard as possible, or are you gonna stop in a few cities along the way and see the sights?

Sault ste Marie 7hrs
Tbay: 18hrs

For day one.

From there the options start to really spread out for day two/three.

I'd recommend Regina over Saskatoon for a stop. Other than that enjoy and make sure you've got some good music with you. Most of the drive is AM radio only, or just CBC radio1 on the FM.

I've done it a few times but this time decided to go through the states, I would fully recommend it, It is much shorter, cheap gas, and more frequent gas stations, plus limits on half of the highway is 120.
driving the canada way is nice, but nicer through bc, when you go through the mountains, the framlands are boring and flat, and Ontario Is the longest part of the drive, almost 30 hours in total.
