Yes I am using Mackie Control to control Cubase mixer. I got tired of using the mouse all the time. I use to have a hardware mixer before, but with only two synths I no longer need it. But I alvays liked the feel of the sliders and a real mixing desk, and this is as close as you can get I guess.. I am really happy with it as well. It saves me a lot of time.

Nice setup you got there, brother, very organized.
I have a Mackie mixer but I don't need it because I downsized my studio...it's a 1402-VLZ PRO. How do you like the Mackie Control? I've been thinking about getting one because yes, Cubase SX mixer is a pain in the butt with the mouse I'm not buying it unless it's really worth cluttering my small room with it, hehe.

Have you used cubase ? I don't want to turn this into a cubase vs protools debate, but you can buy a new digi 001 with protools le 6 for less than a new copy of cubase sx, so I was wondering how that works out for you.
Thanks,

hi vert,
i havent used cubase sx yet!
i havent had any major issues with my current setup of pt6 digi001 and ableton live; and i dont feel limited by them.
however, if i do get more into midi based recording, another daw would be a nice addition =]
