I wasn't there but according to some friends, he was playing a bit harder then he prefers his openers to do. His last track also used a bunch of filter effects on his last track right before John was going on. There was also some confusion with the USB drives and I guess Trago was trying to take John's by mistake. Basically, John wasn't happy at all. I've heard he's very picky about his openers. VERY PICKY!!

Yeah I agree, he didn't play a bad set but it was pretty bangin for an opener haha. Digweed's set was really good especially the last 2-3 hours, just crazy epic post apocalyptic music like someone mentioned before.
I personally liked his set at Mighty in SF the night before though, it was dark as hell and the vibe reminded me of underground warehouse party. No phones no cameras just people gettin down.
Night would've been a lot better without that other DJ.

I have seen more than one opener be told to slow it down within a couple minutes of Digweed arriving. He wants the opener to wrap up a certain way to flow into his set.
Wish more headliners would demand this stuff, tbh. Remember when progression of a night between opening-headliner-closer was an actual thing.
That said, one time an opener caused him to start a little faster/harder than he would have probably liked and it ended up being the second best time I've ever seen him live. Just remember of how it reminded me of his 90s sets.
