Yes I think I will maybe do something about the vox
I have a number of tracks need finishing. I find it hard working with vocalists, I live in the sticks and many don't seem to want to record themselves.
I'm a bit of a loner music wise and find it a pain dealing with singers
My aim right now is to get about 3 tracks I'm real happy with and go for signing (very lazy about that too)
Never done live - would love to but would need some mouse hat or something as I'm getting on
Here's a DNB - people say it's my best genre, but I dunno
Friday The 13th game is out and it inspired this
Should I put drums in break 2 somewhere?
love the groove, break probably needs more impact before the drop, imo
the bass/lead thing needs to be a bit darker or more aggressive somehow i think, not sure how youd go about that though

Yea I've a lot of work to do on the breaks fo sure.
I like your idea on the bass - if I have you right you mean I should add like aggressive chop layers over the bass line to really bring it out - like swirling in and out, not all the same sound all the time though.
I am keen not to make it like all those neuro type tracks that for me become too abstract & nasty sounding - I quickly tire of glichy bass myself as I find it quite contrived and harsh

I will use Serum for that task.
Cheers
i just thought it sounded a bit too "nice" for that style of track but then again i dont really listen to dnb so it could be spot on

sounds good. some of the mid bass "edits" stick out of the mix a bit much, like lightly out of time perhaps could do with some reverb to blend them in (maybe a short decay time low dry/wet mix)
good power and low end
i think if you spent time on the details and mix down, did some referecning etc it would be a good dark jump up type tune
agree the break needs work, like i said its the details you need to work on IMO the meat is there
Im trying to do DnB myself now, and its like trance in the sense that IMO its very unforgiving in terms of production values/mix down so everything need to be on point

hi guys
this is the intro to my new track, still need a lot of work and the drop isn't ready to even play to anyone yet
going for a kind of cinematic vibe for the intro. using fm8, izotope spectron and ataptiverb for the pads/cinematic type atmospheres which was very interesting

Nice sound especially that aggressive sound that comes after the pads
Maybe vary the piano chord a couple of times
I often start with tame sounding drums like this but end up making them more in the face
Interested t0 see what bass you go with, I can imagine one in my head
