The mods are aware. TTA and Wicked Neo have been in and have closed (at least Neo) threads where these debates have got out of hand. Markus was voicing his opinion. Anybody who posts here knows about the ASOT/GDJB wars that go on, as it usually generates the largest threads (as this thread is bound to become).

He's not striking against you in an attempt to silence people's opinions. He's said what's been said in the recent ASOT thread in Music Discussion. If you're going to say you hate something, say it with reason. He's only asking the mods to toughen-up on the flames, not on the opinions.

But with so many different members with opposing view points and opinions posting on here, I just don't see how the flame wars and arguments will ever stop. TA is just like everything else, it has its good sides, and it has its bad. You just have to take them both into account while you're on here and see for yourself if the good outweighs the bad. I totally respect your post Markus and your concern for the recent downturn these forums have been heading, but with such a widespread member base here, I honestly don't see how better mod control or censorship will improve on this. In the end, it's up to the members to either behave and respect others' opinions, or to act like jerks and aggresively bash anyone whose opinion differs from theirs. But try not to let it get to you. The world needs more thoughtful and respectful 30 year olds who are more willing to debate with a person rather than flame them. Perhaps by setting this standard, we might get others to follow this path as well. just my 2 cents. BTW, I enjoy listening to your radio show.

good post.

This is my point. Schulz has made an indirect 'political' move on TA. He has in effect cornered the mods. to be on the GDJB side and encourages any anti- schulz statements as nonsense. ( mods should be independent and not influenced from labels, artists, djs, etc. well one mod. on TA actually works for the station hint)

He wasn't speaking about differing opinions being voiced, but in the way which they are voiced. It's one thing to have an opinion about something but people should try and have a little tact and respect regarding what they say.

And this thread isn't solely about you, despite what your egocentric self thinks.

you are very naive. ask yourself, why would markus schulz after a 6 month absence from TA decide to just post in the MD forum 5 hours after the close of an anti-GDJB thread.hmmmmmmm

I am not egocentric but perceptive

He's not influencing mods. Only one out of seven mods work for the station; that's 0.1428571% of the mods here.

Stop saying this isn't a personal thing, because clearly it is. We agreed with you that you shouldn't have been asked to not speak your opinion, but now you're taking it way too far. This isn't just about you, this is about the community as a whole.

If you have a problem with Markus, deal with it yourself, in private, not here, because you're beginning to look like a real asshole.

Arturo,

how am I making myself look bad?! I am asking him to explain himself. Take off your OMG Markus glasses ( its a joke ) and look at what he wrote. I see a deeper message than you are reading. Maybe you see it too but dont want to admit it since your a mod.? I find the message troubling and hope for an explaination

I thought I had a small number. Fucking Windows calculator; yet more proof that Windows never gets anything right.

Censorship? You must've missed the part where he said he appreciates and respects the opinions of others. He was just talking about how they should be backed-up with opinions, and that the mods should stop the flame-wars, not the opinions.

It's one thing to have a healthy debate; it's another thing to go throat-to-throat at each other. That's what Markus was saying. If you can't see that, clearly you have a personal thing.
