hmmm. this was pretty disappointing. for one thing its not really that uplifting epic hands in the air, only the second half. i think you might be hearing from lionel hutz lol. also, WAAAAYY too many vocal tracks! my god. you start off with 3 in a row and they were kinda average. that pvd one is particularly horrible. "just tell me you love me, just tell me you love me, just tell me you love me...its complicated!" instead of in the air, i was ready to put my hands through my eyeballs. but since you told me you like nicholas bennison so much i thought its gotta get better later on. and later on there is another 3 or 4 vocal tracks. why so many?
also i didnt like the style of mixing, you fade out the tracks way too early and abruptly, its really quite jarring. the transition into track 4 and 11 i think, the one at 50 mins, are good examples of this. it just kills the energy. the last transition into the legacy is so much better! it just sounds a lot smoother and you could even have renegade going a bit longer. i dont think carte blanche and renegade fit in this mix either. it kinda makes the legacy sound out of place, when you were going pretty good. the track that comes in at 40 mins is great and things get pretty uplifting from there and then you play those two tracks which take the uplifting-ness away, and then try bringing it back with the last tune. its a bit confusing to me. so uh yeah. could have been better for me |
