Save money by staying at home and rolling a pair of dice to randomly determine what happens next in the story. Intermittently pause to deliver a clanging virtuous speech to your cat, before resuming as though nothing just happened. For added visual flair, search on YouTube for cut scenes from any space based video games. The resulting experience will be indistinguishable from the real thing.

It actually means "Dweller (juunin) of the Infinite (Mugen)" though. I guess Blade Runner just left them aching for some more blades in movie titles

to be fair, you're talking to a guy who rated prometheus. using that as a metric TLJ was academy award material.

otherwise, rann, pick whichever format you like best. personally i hate 3D films because they require you to spend the entire movie ensuring your perspective is lined up properly. ben's, yoda's, vader's deaths are some of the best scenes in scifi cinema, and none of their power was due to this:

(but if you like 3D you might as well see it that way, as there's no power here )

Whoa, easy there, I said I liked but It's not some artistic masterpiece. I certainly don't have the vitriolic disdain for it that that a lot of you guys did. I supposed I just liked the fact it's well filmed big budget scifi with some interesting themes.

Ah, fuck it, after reading th reviews a bit more now the hype has died down, I'm not going to bother watching it in the cinema.

I'll wait until it's on kodi amazon prime or itunes.

However, good news for Jack:

Ridley Scott just announced we're going to get a another glorious installment of Blade Runner. Let's hope it's half as good as Prometheus.

I'm actually quite interested in seeing Scott's new film, All The Money In The World. There looks to be a few good things lined up in the cinemas at the moment, for a change. I also want to see Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, which isn't out in the UK until Friday.

I watched The Snowman (2017). Slow movie in impressive Norway. Due to time jumps you really need to be sure you don't miss anything, which probably caused some bad reviews. Others like me think it's a good movie if follow it closely. An old and not really good Val Kilmer didn't bother me.

I also finished watching Blade of Immortal, that really is a movie you can watch in (body)parts without missing anything. I can't imagine no-one got injured in the filming process.

Regarding Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, I thought it was a good movie, I won't spoil anything.

All the Money is the World is pretty decent and I'm amazed how well the removed Spacey from it and replaced with Plummer in such short order.

Not to give a spoiler, but the only slightly annoying thing is that apart from the actual act itself, the rest of the film is complete fiction. Kinda annoying as the real story is just as interesting.

Also, watched the snowman a while back - I think Ferguson is one of the best actresses out there right now and fassbender is decent, although not on prime form for some reason. There's some really quirky moments (Popcorn, anyone?) and I can't really figure out why Kilmer was in the film or bothered trying to act. Overall a decent little thriller.

Hot Butter, although I like Kraftwerk's version too. That was cool, for some the best scene of the movie.

I saw it tonight. I thought it was solid. Certainly very handsomely shot, and they did a brilliant job of capturing the period setting. The acting was strong all round, and it is indeed amazing that Plummer was parachuted in at the last minute. I genuinely can't imagine Kevin Spacey in the role now.

However, apart from the fact the story dragged out slightly and never quite peaked in dramatic intensity, I have one problem. Was it just me or was there a colossal plot hole with the film's ending? I know I love to nitpick about plot holes, but this one was so big it left me genuinely wondering whether:

A) I'd missed a fundamental piece of information.
or
B) There's an entire plot point towards the end that appears to be there for no reason.

Either way, as I understood it, the "surprise" of the ending made absolutely no sense based on a scene that had happened twenty minutes prior. I was waiting for some explanation and the film just ended up, leaving me scratching my head.
