The DJM-400 cost me 469 on agiprodj.com. It's the best I've found from an authorized dealer. The 400 is awesome. I know I'm not gonna need more than 2 channels in the next 5 years at least for the bedroom djing I'm doing (an maybe the ocational house party. That said, it is jam packed with features. The kills on the eqs are rock solid. The overall layout is really easy to use. The right side is the effects area which houses 7 built in effects that are supposedly the same quality as pionner efx machines. Additionally, the effects are automatically synched with the channel you set it to, so the 16 beat flanger is synched at 128 or 140 bpm or anything else. Really neat. When I was looking at mixers (keep in mind I'm a first timer here) I was looking for somthing just above the "basic" 3 eq mixers on the market. The 400, at 469, gave me a mixer that is a great basic mixer with EXTRAS that let me do more and have a little extra fun. Oh, an I havent even started to mess with the in-loop sampler which is another plus for remixes on the fly.
I'm totally happy with it!
Hope that helps.
