Nice contrast at the drop when it sounds a lot drier
love the beat, snappy
Bass is sounding ok but in my humble opinion it could be better. Almost sounds like the bass is stereo, or beating against itself like he waveforms are detuned against each other? I think the sub would work better as a simpler, consistent, even sound. Then sidechain it once its tight.
Also perhaps you could high pass other sounds a bit more to make a bit more space down there
ATM i think the mix is just a little bit muddy and it spoils an otherwise lovely mix
IMO of course others might not think the same!
looking forward to hear th vocals
Thanks nate for you comment and constructive analysis of my WIP.
As far as this bass line I'm using, which at the moment has too much of the tail and not enough sidechain, will need to tweak a bit farther to get what I'm after in the final stage - also I will have to locally undercut (from my bass line) some freq to make a room for different sounds (instruments).
Cheers mate for your time and effort,
Darek

any thoughts on this deeptrance number? I've spent one session on it yesterday, long story short, has to be done today. I guess its way too simple huh? Easy to remix because the stems were awesome.
Damn, not much to say about it, love the atmosphere in the break!
Something to get this thread going. It sounds a little bit low in volume.

Definitely good start man - and yes this particular WIP would benefit from more dynamics in it lol - like where you going with it !!!
Cheers,
Darek

heres another summery attempt for me
i feel like some of the loudness levels aren't quite balanced yet.. that laser fx for example, too loud, and the chords may be a bitt too subtle. but i like the atmosphere, it's relaxed and it gives me a good vibe. maybe consider a different bassdrum thats less mid-heavy and a little deeper/cleaner/longer?

Here is my latest effort for a vocal EDM or TranceChill (whatever you guys will/would classify this WIP lol - doesn't really matter to me).
It may be known to some TA's (being few days on SC already) but would like to know if this overall atmosphere is suitable for this kind of genre - in your view?
oooh some of these little portamentos in the intro are lovely! you got creative with the delay on the pluck chords there, it may need a secondary delay, or more reverb, to keep it together. i like the chord progression, it has the potential to be even better with a slightly less conservative melody... maybe something unusual, scene-grabbing, to help stave off the encroaching cheese

The lead wanders just a bit, which is fine, but gives kind of a loungey feel in my opinion especially being kind of a vibe instrument. Maybe just a little too much sub in the mix. I think you could have done something a little cooler with the breakdown. Overall, it is a 3/5 for me. Releasable, good to listen to a couple times, though not incredibly memorable. However, sometimes it takes a couple of listens for me to really like a track.

Feedback in general also appreciated.
Fuck, time to smoke a cigarette and drink some water and sober up. Did a bunch of adderall and worked on this for like 10 hours. Fuck I'm insane.
Cheers mateys.
As usual, you have a lot of cool stuff going on. Overall, I don't feel like it comes together in this version. The main reason is the vocals don't seem quite in time to me. It is kind of feels like this is a live performance with a sampler or something. But I think this is close to being something cool, especially if the vocals can fit right.

Here's something of me, been a while since I made something.
Personally, I like the atmospheric synth kind of tracks. On the synth with the delays, there sounds like a little distortion, which I think might sound better without it. Overall the song isn't that current sounding to me, kind of a 90's feel, but that that might be the style you are going for.
