Thanks for the kind words Rodri and Vernon. Been trying to get some chords down but nothings working for me atm but we will see. Would also love any comments on the mix. I try and reference it with similar tracks in style but I don't have the greatest of headphones so can never really tell....
@Raphie
I agree with whats been said, the track gets too busy. You're trying to cram too much in and it isn't working for me. For example after the break 5:46 sounds fine but when you bring the side chained pad and the other thing in its just too crowded and doesn't need to be to work. Also the crash is too repetitive but that's probably me just being too picky, sorry
@Vernon
Same again agree with what people are saying. Don't think much of the distorted drums, spoils it for me. Would like to hear when you have had another bash at them with more variety. Overall its a nice track to listen too, very chilled and laid back.

I am listening with terrible headphones at the moment too(getting the KRKs tomorrow ), but the mixdown sounds cool, all elements are clear, everything seems at place. Post a longer cut, with more elements when you can, I can't really tell you much now. Sounds good so far.
And about the chords, sometimes even the simplest solutions, like a two note pad can do wonders. Lay down something basic and move onto other things if you lack inspiration.

Well made, therefor not much to say, except that the kick gets uninspiring as the track progresses, it lacks both atmospheric and lead elements at that point too, but that's because you probably haven't gotten to that part yet when you uploaded. Good work man.
That's actually pretty damn good man. Finish it!
Here is my latest wip, very unfinished. The mixdown & limiting are probably terrible, will fix that when I get my KRK phones.
The main focus here was creating the drum loops. Working with sliced downtempo samples is awesome! Also, drum and chord variations will be added later.
Also, whoever tells me which genre this is gets imaginary beer, honest!
Nice track, I really like it
You have to improve you mix quite much, as you said.
I am not into that genre so much but I think you could try to make better transitions when something happen, I mean around 2.33 and 4.48.
Overall it was good with a nice feeling
Here is my "Melodic house progressive". No mastering and just slighty mixing. Sorry for the low volume-output

Sounds quite nice would love to hear more of this. The snare needs to be brought forward more but overall has a really good groove.
@kadomony
Not my thing at all but it sounds very well mixed, nothing sounds out of place and levels all seem fine to me
So here is my wip of yet another track I won't finish (still aint broke the habbit) :/

My turn.
none of the elements are in same key. is that on purpose or did u just press random-generator hoping for the best melody?

yeah i gotta say i agree with rodri here. i mean the groove that kinda gets going towards the end is cool, but at least an octave lower, and i'd definitely think about bringing in some organic percussion into the mix. and yeah, the kick is pretty horrible, sounds pretty SID'y. And there's a reason why you never hear them outside of chiptunes, they just don't have that solid sound you need in a proper track. And that especially goes for the kick. You could maybe beef it up with some eq, but what's the point when you could get a different one that just works out of the box? My 2 cents..
And as I'm 5:2 on the give/take scale, and as I'm really keen on some feedback, I'm gonna repost this as it seems to have been overlooked the first time around.
only dude here with some sort of skills! pretty awesome stuff. send it to speedyj :P
