Seriously, even since I got a laptop which has a backlit keyboard, I have no idea how I would ever survive again without one.
Love the clock - I saw the online a few weeks back and wanted to make one with my laser cutter but can't (cutting vinyl with a laser releases chloride gas with is fatal to both my laser and humans).

Thx xD. I got the clock from an old man in the city of Brașov. He said that he cut it with a laser . So far it is my favourite piece of "gear" since it represents 2 things I like so much, music and that city where I got it from ^^.
P.S. You can always ask a romanian to do a dangerous job haha!

I finally got monitors... a pair of Yamaha HS7's. I've been using Sony MDR-7506 headphones all this time. I have Behringer Truths in the other room with my turntables/mixer but one of the Behringer amps died around 7 years ago. I was torn between continuing to use headphones and get a Sub Phatty instead, I've wanted a Phatty for ever since the Little Phatty came out, or to finally get monitors. I don't have any room for another synth so that made the choice easier.

My wife bought me a Moog Sub Phatty yesterday. Personally I love the sound of the Phattys more than vintage Moogs. I'd been wanting one ever since I first came across the Little Phatty Stage II several years ago. I wanted a Little Phatty or Slim Phatty but then the Sub Phatty came out and that one caught my eye even more, the sub oscillator and the knob-per-function layout (minus the hidden features). It sounds really great in combination with the Virus.
The only thing that kinda sucks is that I ran out of space in my desk area, so I had to replace the JP8000 with the Sub Phatty and put the JP8000 in our guest bedroom with my turntables/mixer/etc. I was hoping to find some type of really short keyboard stand so I can put the JP8000 underneath the table's surface where the Sub Phatty is. Does anyone know where I can find one that short - a stand that's only 15" tall?

What about if you put the JP back where it was and put a shelf on the wall above it. That way you could squeeze in a couple of Elektron boxes too.......

LOL! I actually told her I'd be ok with selling the JP to make room for the Sub Phatty. She said she definitely doesn't want me to get rid of the JP. She's a huge fan of late 90's / early 00's cheese like Ian Van Dahl but she also likes Rank 1 and proper trance. She's aware of the JP being at the center of all those favorite songs of hers from that time period. Sometimes I'll play an Ian Van Dahl or 4 Strings melody for her on the JP, I think that's what made her such a fan of it. I use the Virus for pretty much everything, I haven't used the JP in a song in awhile. I mainly just use it for fun and nostalgia.

this is just a quick heads up. last year i looked everywhere for a corner desk for production. my first stop was Ikea which is downtown, only a few miles away but i didn't find much there. imo Wayfair had alot of worthwhile desks, especially different L-shaped ad U-shaped corner desks. just be sure to check your measurements since it's an online order. i'm not sure if they ship large products internationally, outside of america though.
