I don't know if it's been mentioned already, but Red Room is a really neat place on 444 Spadina Ave. They serve a variety of yummy, very reasonably priced food. As well as quite possibly the best mango smoothie I've ever had, at a wicked price too. They've got outdoor patio seating, as well as regular tables and booths inside, all in a relaxed environment with rather unique decor. I've never visited during the evening, but it's always been fun for lunch or early dinner time.
There's more info here: Red Room
For some late night drinks and nachos kinda thing with friends, I say you check out Green Room. It's off an alleyway entrance on 296 Brunswick St. It's got a very relaxed ambience, dim lighting, an eclectic music selection, and a funky, faded library look with books scattered throughout. The service isn't known for being the most prompt, but that's just the Green Room. It's inexpensive and just a really neat place to wind down with friends after a busy day.
