An audacious campaign to bring about an underground renaissance.
Hello trance lovers. I've been either a member or part of the scene since falling in love with it in 98, and it pains me to see where it's at now. Money is causing talented musicians to sell out, and as more money goes in, this trend will continue.
The DJ Mag Poll is a joke. Indeed half the top 100 DJs would likely say so. I have formed a list of changes that need to happen for a credible poll, and if this thing gains momentum the next poll would shift the balance between the DJs with and without marketing teams working 24/7, for months on end. A poll driven by ability and passionate fans, not how much marketing money can be ploughed into it!
Please have a read, and let me know your thoughts.
Well let me see about this, the site is called tranceaddict, so if you're not one...

Oh and ps, it's you're not your... grammar newb :P

It breeds commercialism and that leads to kids growing up thinking they can make millions. Which means further market saturation of cheesy shit, and likely underground producers not staying true to their sounds. Check the site in full and you'll see a deeper explanation.

And you seriously think this was any different when you entered the scene in 1998, the age of superclubs and trance compilations in supermarkets?

I won't - it doesn't even deserve that.

Has there ever been a less credible winner than Guetta? If you answer no, then yes things have gotten worse.
Things have been getting worse progressively and if you read the article at the foot of my site, you'll see that it is likely to snowball.
I think a change has been due for a long time, and this could be the thing to make it happen.
