Actually Gordan, that bass is pretty slick. Not sure about the chiming higher floating tones however. Personally, I love these kinds of approaches. You have a solid bass and kick combo, you could take that many different directions when choosing those next notes that are melodies or higher freq tones. Personally, I'd go with something 2 or 3 octaves lower in order to hit that mid range freq. Maybe an arp? Rolling bass line? At any rate, basic yet solid foundation. You should roll with it man.

So, I got time to sit down and do some development on some tracks.
Not going to ask for specifics in order to compare my thoughts with another ear.
First track was something I posted awhile back but it was truly a early wip and still kind of is.
Second is a remix from Kuffdam-We Gotta Go. It is an older song that I had never heard of before. I was issued as a challenge from a friend. Back then , he told me I get to use only 4 single stems. I never completed it or even thought about starting it because at the time, I had no idea how to even approach it.
Needless to say, I stumbled across the folder and remembered all of that and thought...hmm Maybe I will take a stab at it and this is what it has become. Needs some cleanup but otherwise, kinda digging it.

TRack 1 I liked from the point when the plucky synth comes in, and up to the drop. I kinda feel you've got a relaxing melody and palette there, so was hoping it would be all Anjunabeach, but at the drop and just prior it got a bit noisy and messy for me mate. Just the kind thing I end up doing - over-egging it some, lol.
The mix at the drop is not working buddy.
Track 2 nice and relaxing. It needs either some vocals / vocal stabs / samples or some kind of standout arp or something to give it a finished personality.
