lol, im not one to let money get in the way of my opinions!
tbh, i really like it, i love the big eq's (with the complete kill on them!!!) . sound quality is pretty good & the faders are in a league of thier own!
the thing i like most about it though is that it is so easy to use! its a very SIMPLE mixer with everything right there in your face, kinda begin to be used. and its so fuckin robust
on the bad side though;
the kill switch is only on the bass!
the little switch things used for the kill switches & phono/lines switches are just too short which can be very annoyin at times!
the effects are nothin special (not bad, but not all that great)
i didnt like the eq's bein in black cos i couldnt see them that well in the dark, but i fixed that easy enough.
and the biggest complaint id have against it;
lack of lights on it
but dont get me wrong, i think its a fantastic mixer, dont have any regrets about buying it, the pro's definately out-weigh the con's imo!
i just wish the would bring out a rotary kit for it!!!!!

umm.. have u considered an x1500? i had the same issue but i was stuck between a nuo5 and an x1500.. went for the latter cuz ecler isnt sold where i live... anyhow.. i dont regret it at all! all the disadvantages wee_rooney mentioned regarding the nuo5 dont exist on the denon.. the EQ on/off can be used as a kill switch for anything! the mixer is perfectly lit.. its extremely versatile and customizable to ur style of mixing, and the effects are descent.. the only disadvantage are the smaller eq/gain knobs, which i honestly dont mind much
hope this was helpful

The small knobs rly pissed me off acyually, i mean i wasnt angry, but it didnt make me want to buy one..
And the short faders.. and the delay on the faders which has been fixed? sort of? still annoyed me..
and it felt kinda flimsy.. the faders and knobs especially..
awaits flames from DannyO and J:/Digital...
Dont worry it was still fun foolin around yours

yes I considered
between the 2 I would most likely go with the nuo
sound quality, faders, effects. crossfader is great for scratching (denon will do the job but its not comparable). And yet theres something it lacks (not the vu meters, channel assignement or sampler)
Lately its just a feeling im having telling me to wait patiently for the replacment of the djm600 ...(If ill live long enough) =)
The more I think about it, the more I might suffer some more time with my superstar behringer
