I could never do it, I don't think. I had to valet at a children's hospital one summer and it caused me to get really depressed and anxious being around illness constantly like that.
Bravo for those that do.

Well, when I saw my godmother die I was by her side and she pretty much just stopped breathing. It was quite peaceful, really, and that's why I said that. It wasn't unlike someone going to sleep, except she didn't snore. No gasps, no last words, no nothing. Had my mother not yelled in despair the moment she noticed it, I can't say I would have noticed.
So, no, Nou, I'm not talking based on Hollywood dramas

Some people die naturally of violent cardiac arrest on their deathbed...
Yes a lot of deathbed deaths are "peaceful" but some can be rather gruesome.
