It's o.k. Lira , I love you, I always had. And to be honest, I enjoy your insightful posts with the charts and graphs. I know you're a Professor and it only comes with the territory. Have you got to assign any after school "special" projects to any female students. Be careful though, it's like Russian roulette with those chics.
Haha, nah, I treat my female students as if they are men
And I'm not bi, so they're safe

haha noone you knew. just a friend who im pretty sure went the way of suicide like his old man. don't know for sure yet, though.
Initially there was little outcry in Muskogee, Okla., last week when a judge, as a condition of a youth’s probation for a driving-related manslaughter conviction, sentenced him to attend church regularly for 10 years.
Apparently, the choice was either 10 years in jail or

agree to church attendance and other mandates — including that he finish high school and train as a welder, and shun alcohol, drugs and tobacco for a year.
While I'm all for alternative methods of justice (he fuckin killed his friend by DUI , he should not be thrown in jail for that), I don't see how the church will do any good.
Surely it would be better with community service alongside finishing education?
Abstaining from alcohol, tobacco and drugs for a year? What good would that do?

That definitely constitutes as a 'Cruel and unusual punishment' in my book. While not cruel, per se - I regard the spreading of the word of Jesus only cruel when it's used to indoctrinate children - it is most decidedly an unusual punishment, and there are more appropriate punishments for offenses like this. Community service, being one, maybe add in some AA, or even a proper non-religious rehab.
10 years in jail would have turned him into a very different person, that I know for a fact..
Edit: Read the article more properly. Him being tried as a youthful offender (was that it?) makes it a slightly different matter.
Funny case
