to me the NL3 has the best UI on a hardware synth ever but unfortunately i its sounds wet/soft/artificial (dont know how to explain) compared to NL2 and other VAs. Its good for certain stuff but the sound gets tiresom after a while, especially the unison is terrible. Just like the Virus, u get sick of it imo. But the interface is awesome.

not exactly a studio pic
Just put together another computer, this time a barebone to hang on the monitor, quite nerdy and minimalistic and fun. Bought Win8 at the same time, ripped it to ISO with my old laptop and put in on a usb then installed. Everything worked emidiately, no need to install any driver what so ever and Reason works just like before. Pretty impressed by that, even both my usb wifi modules work right out of box, that was not the case with win7. Win8 seems to be decent to me atleast and driver support seems impressive.
the left computer is the previous htpc which is now going to the livingroom.

Fuck you.
What's the twinfinity like?
There's deals galore on those here at the moment. Free UAD cards etc.
- Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 USB audio interface
- Alesis M1 Active 620 monotors
- M-Audio/Evolution MK-461c MIDI keyboard
- Akai APC40 controller
- Novation Launchpad
- Sony MDR-7506 Headphones
- Dell XPS M1330 + Custom build PC running on Ableton & Traktor
- Millenium Laptopstand with Dock
- Thomann akustik ISO-Pad 6
- IKEA Vika desk/Capita legs
id get a wider desk and get the whole setup out of a corner if possible. ive had almost similar solution in my old apartment and it was impossible caus the left bass was always messy. also the carpetry lol. consider some sound threatment and more distance from wall. just a few suggestions.

Nice. You're getting more into outboard gear, now, or has this been an on-going thing? I seem to remembering you arguing rather earnestly for ITB (not as the only way to go, perhaps, but...)

I agree, but this is the best i can do right now, as it is in livingroom. But in future i hope to build a decent house with my special area
i feel you. had the same problem for years. finaly have a dedicated room for it (eventhough its small). well its a guestroom but thats just a small bed on the backside, which even works nice for acoustic damping. and i can lie down and listen to my loops while thinking of ideas. love it

Regardless, congratulations!
on going.
The only hardware is to get audio in I suppose , preamps / DIs / mics / compressors / guitars / basses / vdrums.
The Nord modulars were for a training course. Other synths were just cheap. I would still argue for ITB as the best way.
