Ok, time for my review...
Got to Pier 6 and was a little bitter that a table was set up selling tix for $65, when most of us had paid $65 to get on. Then was told no camcorders by boat staff. Got out of line, while I tried to find an alternative to walking back to the car with my post-Danny Tenaglia destroyed feet. Jamil (from Guv) said he'd make the boat wait for me if I took it back. Graham didn't want to take it back for me, so we just made a break for the boat and got on. Listened to the sounds of Mark Oliver until the boat takes off at 1:05pm. When Jamil saw me on the boat, told me the cruise left 20 mins late SOLELY cuz he was making them wait for me to come back. WHOOPS!!! So, as instructed, I'm apologizing to you all for making the boat late (and thanks Jamil for caring enuf not to leave me behind).
Armin starts off with some crazy mix of Nothing, and dropped a superb set from then on. Killer remix of Beautiful Things (must find out which!), Naranja, Blue Fear and lotsa trance goodies. Ended a lot sooner than most of us expected, and then MO finished it off.
1/2 way thru the cruise, when it got cold, went into my purse to find my light jacket and Danny Tenaglia shirt from the Boa event.... and neither were there. Finally figured out the last 1 to handle them was the crew woman who searched my bag. Found her & asked where my clothes were, and she said she left them on the dock, since they didn't think I was on the boat. This totally put me on a downer for a bit, but I knew I had to pull myself out of it & hoped for the best. When the boat was pulling up to dock, low and behold what was still sitting on the dock, 3.5 hrs after we left, with thousands of people passing thru Harbourfront? My shirt & jacket!!! This proved to me again that Toronto still is the most honest city on earth.
Nice to meet Digital MP, Jennypie (again), xGIRLx & Moschino. Funniest scene on the boat: Fuad pissing off the edge on the top deck. Awesome bunch of people on the boat.
Between this party, Danny T and Nu-NRG, this has been the best weekend Toronto ever had!
