🤠 Remember that Traktor S2 hardware I purchased a few months back? It's been sitting on top of the piano ever since--I never actually opened it, till today. That's my b'day present for myself.
🦉 Thank you for your patience. As a reward, you get to ogle Billie.
🐻 So I guess I'm a DJ now. For real, this time. O_o

🤠 New MC-101 & MC-707 boxes & two new Fantoms from Roland. I got a semi but no emotion. Like always, the sounds in their demos are lackluster but they just need some eq & compression.

I saw that, may make a thread they actually look really tasty, but the two demos I've seen were not the best foot forward.

Picked up a Behringer Model D for $190, highly recommended. Also got a DeepMind 6 for $349. The Model D is huge, and for $190? Crazy. I thought not having preset spots would bug me but it's kind of nice to just have a constant state instrument, at least one. All the reviews say it's basically a perfect Model D clone, sounds like it to me but I've only ever had a Voyager and Phatty.
Haven't dug into the DeepMind enough to know yet if I like it, but at first glance the FX are really nice but the OSC design is very similar to the SH-01A. I'm not sure yet if it is basically a SH-01A with FX. It does have a lot of nice "modern" features like variable unison and unison detune, a trance staple. Also hard sync which the SH-01A can't exactly do with a single OSC.
Overall really excited to see what else Behringer comes up with in the next decade.

Neutron is good too, although I didn't gel with it. Mine is sitting in a box in the corner. I'm looking forward to the Pro-1 and the little Crave looks sweet too.
Apparently they've just teamed up with the original MS-20 designer AND the GliGli mod guy too. This points towards more unique designs than clones, which kinda excite me more.
If any of y'all were wondering what the hell that Vermona Perfourmer thing that people keep raving about is....... it is the single greatest sounding synth currently on sale.
I was looking at the lancet, instead the action filter from vermona was more up my alley but then I need a high end delay as well and the Analog 4 Mk1's price 2nd hand is $500 if I look hard enough and it meets all my criteria, and so much more. Best all in one bang for the buck imo.
Edit: Selling my DSP UAD Quad for 50$ than I got it for. Seriously that shit is for vintage purists, hardly any of their plugins imo are suited for modern IDM or Electronic Music. I like clean and distortion free with warm soul character not the artifacts from the hardware and crackling nonsense. End Rant.
A4 Mk2 is a nicer machine. Improved audio quality and a physical output per voice sold me, although the latter won't matter if you're using Overbridge.
