Innervisions was def the standout event of the festival.
Luciano @ Blue Parrot played my favourite set of the week. Too bad their pop-up party in Tulum the following day was cancelled (shitty weather).

Bumping this old ass thread for any advise on where to stay. We are doing BPM 2016 for the first time, and looking for somewhere to stay(all inclusive preferred) but have no clue where is close to the action/beach parties/clubs.. Playcar? Downtown? Cancun?

Cancun is too far away. You want to stay in Playa Del Carmen. Playacar is a gated community which is walking distance to Playa Del Carmen. Its cool if you have enough people to chip in on a Playacar house.
Playacar Palace is all inclusive if that is what you are looking for. (Also around $500 a night)
Look into The Royal Playa Del Carmen and Aldea Thai Luxury Condo Hotel if you want to be very close to all of the action.

I was looking at both of these, but when you are saying "close" meaning I can hear music in my room close?

Aldea Thai - up until 2014 the answer would be yes depending on what part of the building you were in. this year, they did not do parties at the venue right in front of Aldea Thai.

Look into renting a condo as another option. I did this last year and had a blast. Use homeaway/flipkey to look at condos in Playa. I'm staying 9 nights this year and condos range from $900~2000 depending on how nice of a place you want.
Keep in mind flights are between $275-500 depending on how many stops vs nonstop.
Wristbands start @ $230 but most events cost between $15-30 USD to get into without a wristband.
Most of your money will be spent on food and drinks if your hotel is not all inclusive.

we stayed at an all inclusive this past year and surprisingly, it was great. the food was not the best but it's great feeling to know that food is just right downstairs when you head is ripped apart from the night before. downside of all inclusive is that your less likely to go out and eat "good" food through out pdc.
