Did Haz come to town this past weekend?
I missed The Standard because I was just too exhausted. I DJed Saturday night at 9pm, stayed until the club closed at 3am. Was drunk from friends buying me drinks, so I tagged along to an afterparty at a loft downtown, then at like 5am we went to Los Globos for afterhours, and that closed at around 8am... at that point I just went home and had no desire to do anything at all for the rest of the day.

At least last time you Brits got pissed off, we got punk music out of it. This time, it'll probably just end up being embers breaks

So I think it might be time to put the bottle away for a while...
Starting to think this drinking thing is unhealthy for me. It's really the only addiction I can claim as my own. If I buy a 6 pack of beers, I'll drink the whole thing as soon as I open the first one. It might sit in the fridge for two weeks, but once I open the first brew, I don't sleep until I drink the sixth. If I cook a nice dinner and open a bottle of wine with it, I'll be damned if I don't drink the whole bottle. When it comes to hard alcohol (usually just wild turkey 101) - I try to be more moderate about things and only drink half of a bottle in a night.
I need help.
I should just start doing more drugs and quit the booze.

What I meant is that the whole booze thing is obviously an addiction in that once I start in on it I can't stop drinking. When I do drugs, I'm much more level-headed about things.
And as for causing problems in my everyday life - I don't think it causes any obvious problems, but it's certainly a self-reinforcing symptom of depression, or something like that.

Well this thread turned into a fucking downer just now
I'm currently enjoying some Chardonnay. A couple of glasses in now, and yes, I'm almost certain I'll be finishing the bottle.
