Watched "Leave the World Behind" (which I insistently misremember as "The World We Left Behind") with my family last week. Funnily enough, not a single one of us had the same opinion over whether the film was worth it. In short, our reviews are all over the place.
My mum loved it because she pretty much took it to be a Hallmark Christmas flick about love and the pursuit of happiness. My dad took a good refreshing nap. My sister was just baffled. My wife simply hated the whole thing. As for me, I don't think I've ever wanted to see Julia Roberts get screwed this hard since Pretty Woman, as her misanthropic rants just made me lose any interest over whatever happened to her, but I love me an apocalypse, so I thought the film was okayish overall.
I'll probably have forgotten all about it in a couple of months. It's been just a week and pretty much all I remember are the shock scenes and the unnecessary simian spanking session.
