We just started serving cocktails at my bar and it kind of inspired me to have one at home today. Plus I was stressed out and really needed a good drink to loosen me up.
I went to make a Campa but realised that I didn't have any strawberries at home (I usually always do ) and I certainly don't have Midori at home so I improvised.
Ended up finding a mix of berries (blueberries, raspberries and blackberries) in the freezer that mum uses to put in her cereal. Threw 3-4 teaspoons of that with 3 teaspoons of sugar into a cocktail shaker and muddled it up. Then threw in:
20ml Millers Gin
20ml Campari
20ml Cointreau
In with the ice, shook it up, strained it into a rocks glass and it was perfection. Quite happy with it.
If you find it's a bit too strong on the aftertaste, bump it down to:
15ml Millers Gin
15ml Campari
30ml Cointreau
and you can always add more/less sugar, depending on taste
