Sensation and Bud Light Announce Partnership for Debut Show in Canada
The world’s leading dance event is coming to Toronto’s Rogers Centre on June 1, 2013
February 28, 2013 (Toronto, ON) – On June 1, 2013, Bud Light will revolutionize what it means to party in Canada by bringing Sensation –the world’s leading dance event – to Toronto for its Canadian debut. Bud Light presents Sensation will light up the Rogers Centre for more than 30,000 fans.
“Bud Light presents Sensation will give Canadians the chance to light it up in a way that they’ve never done before,” said Todd Allen, Brand Director for Bud Light. “The Canadian clubhouse music scene has been building momentum for sometime. Bud Light saw an opportunity to bring an event of this caliber to Canada – we want to inspire Canadians to share in something they will never forget.”
Since its inception in the Netherlands in 2000, Sensation has taken the global clubhouse music scene by storm. More than 70 shows in over 20 countries have attracted more than one million attendees with premier DJs. The undersea-themed extravaganza The Ocean of White will be the debut Canadian show.
“The Ocean of White is a wondrous world of nocturnal sea life where flames shoot from the ceiling, acrobats rappel down from the roof, giant jellyfish hover above the dance floor and carnival floats part the crowds. It’s an immersive experience unlike anything Canada has seen before,” said Michael Hekking, commercial director of Sensation.
Bud Light presents Sensation will adhere to the all-white dress code that marks every Sensation event. This tradition was, sadly, born from a tragic event. Miles Stutterheim, brother of Sensation founder Duncan Stutterheim and a close friend of the Sensation crew, died in a car accident in 2001. All visitors were informally asked to dress in white for that year’s show and more than 80% of the visitors adhered to this tribute. This marked the birth of the well-known Sensation dress code as we know it today.

I actually don't mind it anymore, wouldn't get a pint of it in the pub, but a bottle or can during a day time summer event is nice. And their Platinum is not to shabby actually either...

Will there be a stand to jerk off an unicorn before entering the venue?
I trust I'm not the only one who thinks everyone having to wear white is fucking stupid and makes it look like some sort of ridiculous cult?
If I wanted cheese at the Skydome, I'd have rather gone to the Swedish House Mafia show.

It's not really that cheesy...Sensation White in Seoul had Nic Fanciulli, Sebastien Leger and Funkagenda. The only 'cheese' artist was Fedde Le Grand.
I don't get this white t-shirt business. They give out t-shirts for everyone to wear??
