If your tea is anything other than a breakfast blend you are seriously doing it wrong Ian.
breakfast blends are good but sometimes I want something without milk and I dislike breakfast ones that way. Some flavoured ones are gross but if you find a proper tea shop and try the samples some actually taste really good.

I prefer nearly all teas without milk, English breakfast included

love breakfast w/ milk. and my coffee too.
My favourite non-normal teas are
Peppermint
Ginger, clove, lemon
Chocolate-mint - like hot after eights for those who have those chocs.
Peach (which is also ace for iced tea)
Blood Orange & Cranberry
and my least favourite
Blackcurrant & Vanilla. Seperately and not as 'tea' I like both but together = puke over sweet pap.

Ugh. Peppermint sucks, in nearly everything. It's like a lame way of saying "... [x] is lame tasting, but with peppermint its palatable" (IMO, of course).
The other stuff there... Chocolate? In tea? Blood orange and cranberry? WAT.
I don't have much of a sweet tooth, I guess. I particularly like tea (and coffee) because it isn't sweet like most beverages.
Saw that last week, Episode 5 I think? Such a fucking good show. Frozen Planet and Life before it are absolutely top notch television.

Weeeeeeeeee! I've registered for a critical care nursing course (coronary care) starting in January. Can't wait! Yay learning and knowing cool shit!
I'm looking into taking an advanced cardiac life support course as well. Last week I had my first code experience (vital signs absent patient), and it's been one of my learning goals to get involved in one because I was so scared shitless of not knowing what to do....so I jumped right in there and did compressions - so well that the doctor commented "Uh, this patient has a pulse (you can hear it on the cardiac monitor)" and when he realized it was just my awesome rhythm he complemented how good my compressions were. So yeah, I definitely want to be able to do more than just compressions in the future - advanced airways and pushing more serious drugs, etc. Shit was fuckin' exciting!
I don't know where I'll end up, but at least I'll be prepared if I ever want to take a job in the ICU/CCU or ER.

so, a few days before thanksgiving i decided to make a commitment to vegetarianism.
i had been essentially vegetarian before this, just because most of the people I eat with - most of my friends and my lover - are either vegetarian, vegan, or raw vegan.
all i can say is that after barely eating meat and having access to all kinds of great vegetarian food and supportive friends and family, eating meat just kind of seemed pointless to me, and also it's gotten to the point where the smell of cooked meat just makes me gag and wonder why I ever ate it. All this happened relatively quickly and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it and adjust. It was as if one day I woke up and a switch flipped in me.
