That setup is at least 8 grand or more! wow!
Ryan is TA's most prestigious Gigolo. On a good night, he'll earn himself a CDJ2000 worth of cash. This is but a small hobby of his. I'm sure there's plenty of other equipment out of shot

1. I'm older (34) and have a good job in high tech where I can afford to splurge.
2. I didn't buy it all at once.
3. It's worth a lot more then $8,000.
4. Yes it's my only real hobby.
I have friends with $5000 watches, or $60,000 cars. It's all about what you want to spend your money on and what makes you happy.

Loving that basement setup, dont like the fact you have records loose out of sleeves though man, treat them as if they were your babies!

Now how the hell would you know whether his speakers are fucked? Just cause they look a little worn? Some of the nicest speakers I've heard are slightly knackered looking. Doesn't mean they're going to sound like shit..
Personally i think the set up is savage. Screw comparing your setup to other peoples on here. If you're happy with it and it gets the job done, happy days.
Even though the speakers look old I'm sure they pack enough punch to get the room moving.
I actually like how you've got the sub in there to take care of the low end. Probably means you don't end up pushing the older speakers too much to get too much low end out of them. Too many people try and get bass out of their mids these days and push things into the red.
