Re: Bale, insane sum. I rate him but he's not on a Ronaldo / Messi level. I don't expect much from him until after the winter anyways, but once he gets a few months of training in with the new team, hits peak condition, gets used to La Liga, Madrid will be awesome. I can't think of anyone that will be able to stop them provided they stay healthy.

Spurs made some quality buys this summer with the Bale money and I think that in the long run they will be the winners in this deal. Once they have a bit of time to gel they should be serious contenders. I hope they crack top 4 this year, same with Liverpool but I think they are more unlikely then Spurs at the moment.

I agree, I still think they will fuck up this year and fall out of the top 4 (and hopefully bounced from the group stages in Champions League). They needed a quality CDM more then what they got in Ozil. And they still have shitty strikers.
