^^^^^^^ I'd tend to agree with this and also as a measure of making the point to Walt and Jessie: Don't fuck with me or this is what will happen. (hence Walt talking to Jesse at the diner...)

I personally don't agree with that theory. There was no chance that he could have caught up with Jesse to kill him before he killed Gale. I think that since the guy was seen at the crime scene, he had to be killed so that Gus and his lab would not be at any sort of risk. If we know one thing about Gus, it's that he does not like to take any chances. I think he killed the guy so gruesomely as a scare tactic towards Walt and Jesse. It was a pretty intense episode!

+1
I wonder how much information is contained in Gale's lab notes folder that was left in the apartment, potentially connecting it to Gus?
Great episode to start the season. So happy it's back

It was an OK season premier. I too think that Gus killed the henchman because he was a witness at the crime scene...I mean he ran in, checked the body and ran out lol.
There were a lot of silent, down times throughout the episode which made it lack that extra special season premier feel.
lol at Sal and Sklyer's phone convo
Looking forward to the next episode and to see what's in those lab notes!

Sometimes less is more... I liked the fact that Gus didnt say much... it added to the intensity.
