You can use those style of carts on a straight tone arm as long as it has a spherical stylus. Elliptical ones might not work the best on a straight tone arm but they do work.

Besides if people want a Berhinger they can buy emm. Just understand it's not going to last as long probebly. The sound quality isn't going to be there either. However unless your going to be mastering a CD for major production the 7dB differnce in SNR between a Xone 32 and DJX700 isn't going to be an issue. In your little bedroom. I recon build quality is possibly though.
But calling other peoples eqipment shit just cos you spent £700 or whatever one your mixer is pretty shitty to be honest. It's a perfectly good mixer. Rember a mixer is a tool nothing else. Some people can't afford all the tunes they want and a mint mixer. If it's between getting the tunes you want and getting a mixer with better stats I say get tunes. |
Big deal about the BMW analogy mate.
I never said people aren't allowed to buy behringer products, I just said they royally suck in their build quality and sound quality. Even though the difference in build quality is the hugest factor for me, 7db difference in signal to noise ratio is a lot.
Lastly, I never set out get on a high horse about my xone32, nor did I intend to bag people that have behringers. I was bagging behringer mixers, particularly the DJX700, simply because I think it is pure shit. I'm not here to debate why people buy what they do, just to point out that DJX700's are shithouse. Oh, and don't peg me as some rich kid that bought an expensive mixer just to show it off, I spent 2 solid years working a shitty job and saving just so I could buy this relatively cheap A&H mixer and a couple of MK5s.

YES i own a djx700 and have used a Xone62 several times. The behringer does suck that is simply the truth however not all people can afford to pay 1k for a mixer.

For the last time, regardless of comparisons, the behringer is a waste of money IMO. Let's put this to rest shall we! |
I think your mom is a waste of money. The Xone 32 is nothing more than a paperweight, the DJX700 is where the real juice is at. And guess what, my wallet is FAT!
To tell you the truth, yes the Xone did feel a little better, and the DJX at times may seem a bit frail, but it does do the job. But you know what, I honestly do not think the Xone is actually worth as much as it sells for. It's not like it plays with your weewee for you.
Seriously it's like comparing apples to oranges. You can't compare a Behringer to an Allen & Heath, they're on different levels, but by no means do I think the Behringer is a waste of money. As long as it does the job, even if not at the highest quality, for 150 bucks getting 4 channels, EQs and kill switches, CF curve, bla bla bla, you can't beat that deal with a stick.
Say hi to your parents for me though, seriously, c*nt.
