haha i know.
one of the only guys not making shit "fart bass" trance like the other one.
ps lol simon patterson.
I really try and buy some trance as i like to have an eclectic collection, but fuck me in the ass and call me patius there is just never anything good that thinks outside of the "box".
Mr.Schadenfreude is picky/hard to please?
Used to be a trance head, now more into Tech/house...but still checking out what's going on in the "trance world"...
Very surprising remix, after a very bad album he makes a remix to his "Crack-cocaine" style like back in the 90's

just personal opinions of course.
trance was very stagnant even before Ferry did that god awful LED album that showcased "electro" style baselines. Everyone copied it (copying is THE biggest feature of trance, something gets big everyone rushes to do the same) resulting in the style of track you posted. Imo, this fad made trance worse. The genre really needs to stop punking melodies from classical arrangements, using supersaws, side chaining, and less arpeggios
Go listen to some 90's trance and you will see that the formula of the tracks were very different, simply because there was no pre established cookie cutter formula in the genre like today.

I'm just a music nerd.
I agree to almost a 100% with you. Reason why I had to do the musical genra switch, from Trance to Tech/House. But you can say the same for any genra for electronic music. Of course I will still listen to the first 3 magics of tiesto and old school trance ( which got me into the electronic genra). But even in this ocean of shit, you can still find a pearl !
