I'm always impressed to see people interested in non-mainstream EDM so early...and not merely interested, but producing/spinning high quality material at that!
yeah I first heard of him maybe 3 years ago.. for a brief time he was on Relic's artist roster (Preach's label) but I only realized how young he is not long ago! Definitely impressive.
One thing I really respect about him though is how much passion he has for promoting techno, not only for his own career but his efforts to help establish an envious little techno scene in Minneapolis. They get bookings there that would be almost impossible here!
For sure it'd be great to see him here in Canada.. so hopefully before I move

I'll stop gushing now, lol.
You're so funny. lol
DZ @ footwork would be a good show. Footwork is such an awesome venue for techno, especially like deep minimal and the like. I didn't so much dig the Beltram sound there.

Awakenings is tonight
can't wait to hear the sets...
I was on the site earlier and noticed some cool videos.. including one from the last Awakenings edition with Adam Beyer, Joel Mull & Cari Lekebusch... looks amazing.
It's funny to see people dance to techno (especially). It sometimes is almost too fast/layered to some people to keep a good rhythm to.
The lighting looks so good in that video. The production values for these big events overseas is always so awesome.
Somewhat off topic, but... one thing I dislike that I see so often these days in party pics/video's is girls who love to be "naughty" by getting caught "kissing" another girl. That got old 2 weeks after Madonna kissed Britney. (end rant here )

yeah it's pretty retarded (girls kissing at the party)... attention whores if you ask me.
As for the production of those events... yeah it's amazing... but apparently so expensive that that is why they basically have to have back to back parties at that venue, leaving the set-up in place for the weekend, to make it worthwhile. But they seem to be doing something right.. I think the venue holds between 6000-7000 and they sell out most of the time! My first Awakenings will be the 3 night 10th anniversary party next April... can't wait.

I love it ANYTIME I fucking see two (hot) girls pretending to kiss to get attention that they so desperately need to feel important! So beautiful when they pretend to be interested in each other though all they really want is to draw attention to themselves so they can feed their own egos and build up a lack of self-esteem and self-value that is so clearly lacking. That will never ever get old to me, I live for this momemnts.

I'll take a confident woman who is comfortable with herself and her sexuality over children like these ANY day.
