I got a monthly radio show on Digitally Imported. If you are a fan of techno you can get the sets here http://www.musicatnight.com/radio/?page_id=4 I had some good guests on so far (Glitter, Subfractal, D-Unity, and more). Tell me what you think.

I think that Techno has by and large become a meaningless catch-all term, and that the artists you listed all actually produce Progressive House but call it Techno for cred's sake.

Generally agree with you. And I bloody hate it.

When someone states that a track/set/DJ is 'techno', it refer to proper hard techno.

If not, then specify further, ie. Minimal techno.

Or fix your classification ie. progressvie house (to use ur example above)

Imo what glitter or subfractal produce has nothing to do with house. Both are more new generation sound but glitter a bit more with progressive edge and subfractal abit darker. they are definitely a subvariety of modern minimal influenced techno

Thanks...

Agreed, glitter and subfractal produce the new form of techno with influences from different genres. The first hour is my mix with tracks that I consider techno. What my guests play is up to them.

Not really long enough to qualify as a set, just exploring some heavier material - some Stephen Brown, DMX Krew, Jean-Louis Huhta + repping Detroit with Chancellor, Jay Denham, DJ Bone + whatever else is in there that I'm too lazy to look up at the moment
