Those are a few things I continue to stress these promoters about:
- drink line ticket, this is so tiring and annoying! Not only that but what happens when I pay for extra tickets I don't use by the end of the night.. great, you get stuck with them or you happen to lose them- either case, that's uneccessary burnt money.
- cheap liquors/beers. I'm paying $6 for a freaking PBR or Tecate. WTF! For that price, offer me something better. I'm paying $5 for a full cup of grey goose or black label on the rocks in Philly!
Anyways, after a while they cut the ticket line and it was just cash bar and things were a lot smoother.

Drink tickets are done on purpose. You should know why and how strict liquor licenses are.
I agree about the shit beer/alcohol. I dont understand why everybody keeps buying the piss called PBR/coors/miller lite/disgusting vodka/whiskey in a plastic bottle. Alcohol is NOT expensive to purchase as a wholesale! You will still turn profit, even if you spend extra $$ on a better quality alcohol.
At the Philly party, we were able to get $5 strong Black Label/Grey goose drinks. $20 and i was pretty well buzzed.
Drink tickets serve a purpose for the promoter, they think they're circumventing the law. They still don't have caberat or occupency licenses, wtf is the difference. And I doubt in court the little ticket trick would hold any weight.
And they are definitely being cheap, especially with the alcohol. When the markup is 10x anyway, a 10% increase in wholesale prices for the bottles would probably make a negligible difference but we will remember and be much happier. It's a short term business decision. A quick minor profit boost at cost of customer retainment. Then again, not sure how many party organizers study business and marketing.
Anyway,,
yay for Rrose and I guess we don't have to go to GLAZZZZZ for Chris now.
im thinking about checking her out Jan 25 blkmarket, ive never seen her but ppl on RA always seem to get excited when she comes around. Her mixes online seem pretty decent
