Apparently Toskala's headed in for surgery soon, so it makes sense to shift between Gerber & Pogge for the remainder (what, 20 games) of the season.
Interestingly enough the Jokinen deal went, but it was for Lombardi & Prust and not Cammalleri. Not a good move IMO, Prust is a great young talent (and a London boy, whoop whoop)..
I'm still waiting for Toronto to make a move that indicates some level of faith in making the post-season.. It's not unrealistic.
If the only trades Burke make involve Antropov and Moore then I think it will be a failure on Burke's part as GM.
I don't want the leafs to even think about playoffs this year...if they make it great but don't steer away from the path they are on right now. 2010-2011 season is what the leafs should be looking to as playoff time.

Why would you want to move Cammalleri? He's putting up some good numbers this year, good trade IMO.

Totally agreed.. I was expecting a lot more team building in the near-term. This is really disheartening.

Confirmed.. Antropov to New York for a 2nd Round Pick + Conditional..
Plus.. Ponikarovsky to Nashville for two draft picks.
Jesus christ.
Also, a three way deal that hasn't been revealed just yet, this is just terrible.
Edit, Ponikarovsky didn't get moved. Whoops.

Antropov trade is meh....I would have expected more for him.
Moore is now in Buffalo.
Overall....I think Burke failed to make any significant deals....a monkey with a cell phone could have made the deals he made....not overly impressed.
I think NYR and Calgary are the big winners this year.

I think the Tampa Trade is just a salary dump for Tampa and Toronto has room under the cap to take these short term contracts.

yep, just to get a 4th round pick back (we traded ours away), and add some marlies help since we'll probably call up a couple youngsters to fill in for moore and antropov.

Gerber looked good in his first game with the leafs.....I don't think having him and Toskala as a duo for next year would be all that bad...its obvious that Pogge is not ready for the NHL and honestly, I don't think he will ever be the next starter for the leafs.
