It's mixed very well, but nothing happens at all in the track. No matter where you click to play it just sound the same.

I agree. There is very little difference between say 1:47, 2:47, 6:47 and 7:47. It definitely needs a lot more build up and excitement. Right now it kinda sounds like the outro of some other track looped over and over again and it just doesn't ever reach anything like a climax. Only in the breakdown do we hear something different and somewhat interesting but I'm afraid it's not enough to save the track.

The mixdown seems fine to me, nothing wrong there. Well done.

I think it could help if you compared your track side-by-side to another well received one and see how they create a difference between the various parts of the track. Usually there's a real sense of build up from the intro to the breakdown and after the breakdown, when the beat kicks in again, it's even more exciting than before because they added a lead or a new bass sound or even just some hi frequency fillers to give it more energy. Just go and compare it to something and the differences will most likely pop out to you.

Thanks guys, constructive criticism is better none at all. Is my second completed uplifter. The last one was badly mixed and out of key. I will start comparing my work with others that i like and try to make changes. I didn't use any references at all anyhow but thanks.

Cheers guys,
JP

Well mixed track, but the part that really is interesting is in the break from 5.07 - that's a really unusual melo and timing, you should build a track round that imo, could be very interesting - I could remix that part into a track if you want.

I like your trancer Lordy but not as much as some of your other wips lately, you should finish em.

Anyone think much of this at all;

Anyone think much of this at all;

i dunno Richard, i quite like the bass (and i can hear the low end now ) - just would like the top end of the bass to be more dominating, instead of the piano...im struggling to hear the mid part of the bass

vocal is maybe a touch too loud for me but thats probably just me

at least your elements in key now paulino, good work with that. it doesn't have any progression though, and it totally lacks any memorable elements, but the mixdown is pretty clear.

I'm a bit unsure on this one tbh, I agree with richard I don't think it's as good as others you have posted lately. Then again not much going on in it atm so maybe if you post another sample when your a bit further on I can comment better.

Overall this is a great track, the best in this thread by a mile imo, really reminds me of my clubbing days at shindig. My only slight criticism is the bass is just a tiny bit too strong, I think you should shave just a fraction off it. A little bit of parallel compression might help bring the kick out a little more as well, it needs a bit more Grrr! Awesome job

Any thoughts on this?

Is it worth trying to make a track out of? How does the mix sound etc..?? Cheers

The melody is something personal, an extension of your personality. How the fuck can you ask something so blatantly stupid?
I'd understand tips about the mix, but the melody is the core, the heart, the character of a trance track.
If you ask me, this is the shittiest, cheesiest and most pathetic melody I've heard this year. But this is me, and we are different. If you like it, go for it without caring about my taste in terms of melodies, if you're a depersonalized amoeba as I suppose you are, then obey and succumb to my views.
