DO you really think the .05% difference will make a difference? I started DJing on (don't laugh) Gemini CDJ-1100's) and had no problem keeping beats matched... If those things could keep a beat matched, how can you not on the Denons... I now have Denon S3000's and they are the best investment I've made so far. Work just like my techs only better... They keep the beats matched no matter what pitch %'s I'm using (I use +-10% mostly) but it also has the option to use .02% increments if you really need it.
My suggestion is forget about the 800's and keep your 9000. But if you HAVE to get something with better increments get the S3000s. Plus they're cheaper than the Pioneer's. BUt ifyou really want to sell your 9000, PM me and maybe I'll add it to my setup. |
yeah there are some features that I will miss a lot on the Denon, especially the fact that its 19" - perfect for mounting, which I did. but they feel too much like toys, more than a piece of DJ equipment. really its all just buttons, there no physical manipulation, which is what I love about my technics. also, the 0.1% is really a big deal, and the 0.5% will make a big difference. its twice as accurate! 0.1% is really only good enough for beatmatching for about 30 seconds... then the tracks start to stray and you have to push or pull, and once your in that deep, its sometimes hard to decide whether to push or pull your track
as for getting the S3000s, I was interested in them for a while, but I plan to start club DJing in the near future and as I understand it, most clubs CDJ1000s/1000MK2s for their CD setup. I want to get used to the Pioneer setup, since the 800 and the 1000 are very similar
as for selling my 9000 to you, sorry, I already have a buyer
