A track from a professional producer - review and contacts needed

Hi all.

A friend of mine asked me to post to this forum and submit his track for review.

He is a professional musician/producer. For many years he has been making music for various games, commercial spots etc. He was also one of the best known musicians on the Polish (and also international) demoscene years ago. Now he owns his own small home studio and in his very limited free time produces music just for the pleasure of it.

He has released 3 LP-s already (CD only) with his group, Aural Planet (http://www.auralplanet.com), one just came out around a month or so ago. The first LP was ambient, the second - goa and the most recent one is, I'd say, ambient/techno/experimental.

Lately he got interested in progressive trance, since he wants to make music that people currently find most interesting to party to 8]. I've suggested to him to get into progressive trance and he seems to like the genre very much (his favourite track from the stuff I gave him is Solar Stone - Solar Coaster, that's the direction he'd like to go into). So he produced for now only one track that he would like people to review and comment on.

Also, he's looking for contacts for labels that might be interested in releasing his music (he's planning to make more - and one thing I can say for sure - his stuff is 100% professional - he lives off making music for many years, so the label should treat him seriously). His dream would be to release a vinyl and see people dancing to it 8]. A nice dream I must say and I support him all the way 8].

So the track for download/review is here:

http://www.auralplanet.com/download...-master-fin.mp3

The download might be a little slow (slow server), but be patient. It's worth it, I guarantee it, I love the track. Definitely professional stuff.

Also, if anyone could suggest some addresses to write to in order to send them a demo for possible future release, I'd (and so would he) greatly appreciate it.

If anyone wants to contact him directly, his name is Adam Skorupa (better known as Scorpik) and his e-mail: scorpik@miramex.com.pl

Greets to all trance addicts.

Hey guys come on you promised some reviews 8P. Lightworks, I'm especially interested in what you think. My friend is quite disappointed, he needs some directions and nobody's willing to write a single message 8[...

Your friend has a real musical talent. If he is just new to progressive trance, then make sure that he listens to more of the genre. This song is really good for a first attempt at the genre. It sounds extremely professional. Could you ask him what he used to produce this song?

Thx ElZaPo 8].

I already gave him 3 cd-s full of sets so he's got something to listen to. He's working on a second track already, I was in his place today and was helping him out a bit with some ideas 8].

I asked him via mail already what exactly it is he used, but I know he has, amongst others, a Korg Wavestation, another full-size-keyboard Korg (can't remember the exact model) and a full-size-keyboard Yamaha synth. Except that, of course, a sampler and an effects processor. He uses Cakewalk as a sequencer on his PC. More exact data coming later when he answers me.

Allright I got some suggestions from other sources. The track should and will be made more DJ-friendly, so a longer intro and outro are definitely needed. Some people also suggested to experiment with a deeper sound and less psychedelic sounds.

I'd really appreciate some reviews from tranceaddicts, I'm sure that out of the more than 60 views this thread had, some people downloaded the track and can comment on it... Please do! Every opinion counts, especially those detailed ones. Say what you like and what you dislike in the track. Even if it seems trivial!

PS Lightworks, thx mate, no problem, everyone has to take a break sometime, I wish I had time for some as well, but not with my work...

Hey ppl!

Another track is ready!

Here's the download link:

http://www.auralplanet.com/download/gateway.mp3

Now, I loved the first one, but when I heard this one completed, I had to reserve a visit at the dentist - my jaw dropped to the floor and all the teeth fell out! 8]]]]

I'm seriously in love with this second track! Hope you like it too!

But PLEASE if you download it, like it or not, COMMENT on it, tell me what you like, what you dislike, so I can tell the author and he can improve for the future!

The previous one, now named hypnosphere, is available for download at:
