As mentioned previously it was quite a dilemma. It took me some time to decide whether to go with a softer or more aggressive lead. I went with the latter, but the idea about a softer version is still there. That's why it's a wip.

You guys mentioned automation, how on earth can I get rid of this?
Darek, thanks for that tutorial vid, very helpful but did not remedy anything on the track as I zoomed in as tight as I could.
If anything, it seemed to take away from the vocal because it was so dry it's noticeable.

Can you post (if possible) this vocal by itself (at least like 30 or so seconds) so I/we could analyze the condition of it and recommend potentially some solution on how to fix it.

Darek

The build after the break is my favourite part but it's a little long, and I imagine it's going to be followed by another drop when you're done, making the track pretty lengthy.

This is actually going to be a remix for a song called Beautiful Love by Sean Norvis. Thoughts greatly appreciated.t

I have to agree with you, this vox sample is quite difficult to work with

The vocals have some timing things you could probably fix easily. I really like the build up quite a bit, and the entrance into the drop, but the actual drop itself seems totally alien to it. That snare stutter into it makes it sound like it's going to be a lot more driving and high energy than it winds up being IMO.

This is actually an older track by me that I decided to revisit to get it to be release quality. I re-recorded the verse and shortened the track by like 3 minutes. Worked out pretty well. Still have some work to do on the vocals I think but yeah!

Seandroid, I definitely prefer your machine sex music (I still want Illicit on my fucking iPod), but this is still good. Much more commercial than what you usually post here, but I could easily see Avicii or someone similar sliding this into a set. It has big stadium EDM written all over it. Hey Garrix, eat your heart out.

What I'm saying is this may not reach the artistic level you've hit in other tracks you've posted here (especially Illicit which I want on my iPod) but it could make you a sweet wad of cash, especially if you release Illicit (which I want on my iPod) as the B-side.

ps I want Illicit on my iPod.

Yeah, that was intentionally so for sure. It's more commercial in structure now than it was to begin with, actually.

And that day will come 😛 I have to find a label willing to release it that I think is worth it.

Please PM me on that day--Illicit is a song I'd happily pay for.

Great song, is that you singing? Singers tone really suits the song.
I listened a few times and the only thing I wanted to hear with more oomph at some stage was the "its in my heart" hook section. I kept hearing it at some stage with everything dropeed out and just the vocals with a big ass stereo synth playing sustained chords, and maybe a string section with it. awesome work!

Dumb question, what genre would this song fall under?

Yup! That's me singing. I still have some work to do, I'm actually thinking of re-recording some of the chorus vocals as well. I'll check out your tune when I get home!

I'd just call it electro house but you could also probably call it big room.

Well, this is my first listen and I say I do like the production of the song. I also like your arrangement of tones.
The issue I am having is that it almost feels like it is two different songs melded to mix only because of the bpm.
If you ask me...ditch anything you have before 2:09. After that, what you have sounds really good man and imho the "true" song.

This is the complete vocal stem,dry. I am contemplating reworking the song and may have to use less vocal than I wanted {I swear this vocal stem sounds like someone is doing something in the background}
At any rate....I sincerely appreciate the assistance and feedback from all of you.
I also agree with a lot of your comments.
I do think the drop deserves more attention. Maybe a SC/Compress on the bass?
I also feel it needs some high frequency influence in there. I am envisioning a sort of pulsy driving stab kind of groove...now I just gotta do it
/sigh why don't they just make helmets that let us get our musical thoughts from our brain on to our daw

I just wrote a reply and for some reason it didn't come up! Anyway. Yeah, the writings on the wall. I'm gonna piss of the gated synth bit and do a new intro that leads to the first guitar pluck section. Thing is, I'll need to use a synth to support the guitar, but this sound will also have to work within the rest of the track, I don't wanna use the choir pad used in the breakdown, if I can I'd like to leave it just in that section, if I can't come up with something decent I may have to use that sound, but I wanna avoid it sounding like the song playing twice within itself! I'll turn the gated synth bit into another song!
