Yep, this is type of House I really enjoy listen to man, right stuff - like it.
One thing thou, some of those (as Richard was saying) "battlestar galatica lazer sounds" need to have some either FX on it or at least push a bit back - my $0.02.
Nice WIP so far !!!
Cheers,
Darek
thanks all, i must look at adding some subtle fx to those sounds!
any thoughts on this deeptrance number? I've spent one session on it yesterday, long story short, has to be done today. I guess its way too simple huh? Easy to remix because the stems were awesome.

Yep, this sound is really lash M. - sweet way of unwinding this melodic theme in this remix - me like it.
PS. - watch for overcompressing in the final stage of your production.
Sweet !!!

Ummmmmmm, now I have a little problem Jesse as I can quite figure out why this WIP doesn't have much more emotional impact on me as it should, just because your melody and the way you structure it is simply excellent !!!
I'm not really sure but (in my opinion) this may have something to do with your drums -> either the way they sound or the pattern they are playing, I think??? - beside that I really enjoy this melodic evolution of this production my friend - well done so far J.

Hey Jesse,
I was going to let more people comment on your track before I would give you my advice (right or wrong lol) but I thing I will do that right now as I will go home soon and don't know if will/would have time later lol.
For me (ignore if you not agree with me man) your drums sound like a studio samples and this is why you have this style disconnection with the rest of your elements in your track. Try to use a different samples and start with really simple one at the front and progressively mature it (over the time).
The rest sounds really sweet !!!
Cheers mate,
Darek

Defo more full sounding! Thats exactly what i was going to say about the last version, sounded a bit too thin in the drums department
I love the drums and bass on this. I agree w bit with Darius X - and i think the more organic, sampled sounds (like guitar or piano?) fit the style much better that the synth parts
Just my opinion but i dont like the "wailing" type synth at all - i think it detracts from the serious vibe!
I would like to hear some lush pads in this and some sounds to fill out the space a little bit more?
but i really like the vibe, nice to hear "listening" music on here too!

Here is my latest effort for a vocal EDM or TranceChill (whatever you guys will/would classify this WIP lol - doesn't really matter to me).
It may be known to some TA's (being few days on SC already) but would like to know if this overall atmosphere is suitable for this kind of genre - in your view?
Lovely atmosphere! i think you got the reverb with the pads spot on. What reverb are you using btw?
Nice contrast at the drop when it sounds a lot drier
love the beat, snappy
Bass is sounding ok but in my humble opinion it could be better. Almost sounds like the bass is stereo, or beating against itself like he waveforms are detuned against each other? I think the sub would work better as a simpler, consistent, even sound. Then sidechain it once its tight.
Also perhaps you could high pass other sounds a bit more to make a bit more space down there
ATM i think the mix is just a little bit muddy and it spoils an otherwise lovely mix

Thats a lovely tune imo
how did you get it sounding so wide
Agree on the over compression. bass sounds quite distorted.
Apart from that it pretty much sounds perfect to me, kind of suff id absolutely love to make
