and, hey, our goalie hacks, you would too. Your players were treating him like a diving board the whole game. Flames got like what, 1 goalie interference maybe 2. There should have been like 30.
disappointed, but it wasnt a bad game. Hell of a lot better than the colorado/dallas game.
meh oh well

yeah but the flames got TWO, count it TWO 5 on 3s. Flames got like 9 or 10 power plays. That's BS. The call on Ohlund was lame, Clark skated into his stick and dove like a girl.
Either way the Ohlund penalty was fair.
Even if Clark DID skate into his stick, Ohlund's stick should not have been up in the air like that. Hence the penalty HIGH STICKING.
Anyways Flames got I think 8 PP, Vancouver had about the same.

The high sticking calls were mostly there... except for the one on Simon I believe in the first period that was blatant and missed by the refs.
I however did not like the overuse of obstruction and hooking penalties. Let em play like they want to as long as they don't play dirty and hurt each other. (Hard slashing/high sticking should always be called regardless of the frequency)
Was only 1 game anyways... still plenty more where that came from =P
Oh and about cloutier, he's proven in the past to have a bit of a short temper and whacking players with your stick is uncalled for, regardless of how much players have been crowding your net and getting PUSHED into you =P
Let's not forget that weak ass fake fall that cloutier took (and got penalized for) ontop of one of the flames players =P

Despite some brutal officiating (calls were missed on both sides, I'll agree, but the canucks got shafted in that dept), Canucks outplayed the flames badly. As others have mentioned it's still a long series, but I'm loving what I've seen so far from Van; they can play SO much better yet they still came up with the win.

I'm not so sure about the Canucks outplaying the Flames.
They both had glorious opportunities.
Period 1 was definitly dominated by the Canucks.
I'll give credit where credit is due, the Canucks definitly played well today.
Both teams will have to step it up if they want to win the Cup though. The game looked a little sloppy.

Definitely not outplayed by any means except in the first period. Notice the goal difference in the first period wound up being the final difference. Coincidence? maybe. but they matched them goal for goal past the first period (Not necessarily right following each other but both teams scored 3 after the first) They woke up and figured out what they needed to do. It just happened 1 period too late =P
I'd say look for a closer game in game 2.

a wuzzle wozzle.
Homer rushes off to the nearest convenient `House of Evil' (your one-
stop Evil shop). He asks the very old Asian owner who appears out of
the shadows if he sells toys.
Owner: We sell forbidden objects from places men fear to tread.
We also sell frozen yogurt, which I call ``Frogurt''!
Homer tells the owner that he is looking for a present for his son's
birthday. The owner hands to him a talking Krusty doll.
Owner: Take this object, but beware it carries a terrible curse!
Homer: [worried] Ooooh, that's bad.
Owner: But it comes with a free Frogurt!
Homer: [relieved] That's good.
Owner: The Frogurt is also cursed.
Homer: [worried] That's bad.
Owner: But you get your choice of topping!
Homer: [relieved] That's good.
Owner: The toppings contains Potassium Benzoate.
Homer: [stares]
Owner: That's bad.

Good game but too many penaltys. Let them play I say!
