I got mine too I did my usual "just and no more" (55%) but we have to pass both project and exams so 49% project + 100% exams = FAIL on the plus side all you get is masters with distinction or masters and theres no way I'd go for distinction. :P

On a side note I've been away for so long because I moved into a new flat with no internet. On the plus side my flat mates are cool and I've written off basicly 1 + 1/2 weeks of project work by going to various parties two of which needed a police presence to be stopped

Oh and I've been out watching the hippys at the demos in Edinburgh.

At one point I was watching the mounted police facing upto some hippies and loads more TV cameras from my room balcony I was half asleep and half naked open the curtains and TV cameras pointed at me in my boxers.

Well I only had one exam over the whole course cos most of our work for politics is now course work. First semester I did 2 6,000 word essays which is a fair amount of work so I dont really think it would be possible to do another 6,000 on top of that (tho you did get the option to take 3 modules in one semester and one in the other) Then the dissertation counts as 2 modules so the work we have done over the year is equivelant to 6 modules. Your doing a science based course arent ya? Maybe thats different if there are things you HAVE to learn, whereas in politics baseed subjects you obviously cant learn everything so you get away with specialising in a certain area

Yea seen some of that on the news! God I fucking hate those anti-globalisation types! Tom Cruise sparks 'alien' panic

War Of The Worlds has been blamed for a mass panic in Siberia after locals mistook a tornado for an alien invasion.

People in the Khabarovsk region of Siberia jumped into their cars and fled their homes in panic when the freak wind arrived out of nowhere, flattening trees and destroying property.

But officials from local emergency services said the destruction had been caused by a freak tornado that ripped through the area.

They blamed the fear of an alien invasion on the recent showing of the Tom Cruise epic.

Natalia Lukash, spokesperson for Russia's Far-Eastern Emergency Situations Centre, said: "It was a strange phenomenon and many people jumped to the wrong conclusion and believed it had been caused by alien space ships landing in the area."

A team of experts has been sent to the area to survey the damage.
