"Dear Josip,
I'm terribly sorry I can't write to you in Croatian, but I hope that if you don't personally understand English, you can get a sheep friend of yours to translate this.
Up till today I didn't believe in instant love, but when I saw the picture of you for the first time today, I realised there is such thing as love at first sight. I'm in love with you. I don't say this because you are one of those "famous sheeps", but because you are simply the most beautiful creature I have seen in my entire life. Just looking at your eyes makes my heart weak and in desperate need for love from the sheep behind those eyes. When I look at your big sexy antlers it makes me wanna stroke them. When I see your snow white wool it makes me wanna touch you. You are the perfect sheep and I wanna be with you!
I donno how to ask this and I'm really nervous but when you are done with this show, would you want to go out with me? I know I'm nowhere close to your league but Please give it a try! If you want to I can send you pictures of myself, also, if we go out once, at least you make me happy for the rest of my life, and you won't have any obligations. Once is once and you can go on with your life, but then at least I'm happy cause I had a chance with you! And I would love to talk to you! Of course I would come all the way to Croatia from Sweden to do this, everything for you!
So please tell me you wanna go out with me! At least once!
Much love,
Erik"
Cool, let me know what the sheep writes back!

Religious? In what way? What religion? Oh I'm so curious but I don't have time to scroll back fifteen million pages and read through the whole discussion, I'd prefer it just to be repeated.

Do you consider them to be intellectually handicaped (atleast relatively speaking)? The reason why I'm asking I guess is cuz I've noticed that most people on this forum have never said anything positive about religion or religious people and don't seem to have much respect for eigther. I can totally understand how alot of so called "religious" people can be quite irritating, especially when they try to use their beliefs as a basis of argument when debating/discussing something with someone who obviously doesn't share their beliefs, or when they try to impose their beliefs on others (and other things along those lines). I find that irritating as hell too. Don't get the wrong impression though, I'm just curious. You guys can be completely honest in your responses, I won't be offended.
EDIT: If you guys prefer to PM me your responses instead, feel free to do so.
Okay, I'm not any of those four but I'm taking it upon myself to answer because A) I'm waiting for some photographs to pring out and it's taking seven years and B) It just wouldn't be me if I didn't jump into a religious conversation; It's what I do best.
I don't respect anyone less if they are religious, it's to each his own. Then again it depends on the religion and the open-mindedness of the person. If someone is religious and tries to impress their religion upon me I tend to get a little rowdy and tell them to back off. I'm repsectful of those with religions until they try to get me to convert. I've done my research and I've formed my own opinions. I usually enjoy conversations with religious people because I find it entertaining to point out the flaws in their beliefs and see what kind of answers I'm provided with when I ask questions directed towards those flaws. I only find them intellectually handicapped when a person is pig headed and can't accept that there are other religions out there in the world besides their own and when they are unwilling to accept that everyone has their own beliefs and just because they believe in something doesn't mean that everyone else has to believe the same.

That's fair and reasonable I guess.

I actually thought of myself as one of the more fundie-tolerant people in this forum, but I guess this is proof that I've been deluding msyself. Anyway, the discussion is kindof mood as I've never respected anyone as an intellectual capacity and then suddenly found out that they were religious (and yes I have known people that suddenly turned out to be religious). If I did, I probably wouldn't lose *all* respect for that someone if I found out that he was religious, but I guess that I would lose some respect. After all, taking someone else's thoughts as your own without subjecting them to critical analysis rarely leads to good things and is a sign of weakness in my opinion.

Well they still belive in the god, but they think the book is "up for interpretation". But yeah, doesn't really make sense I agree.

Well, if you're really simple minded and/or have trouble analyzing/interpreting/thinking, then I guess you'll take every word literally.
Then they're not exactly religious. Which is why I would NOT call myself religious, eventhough I have faith, enough that it has had a significant impact on me as a person and my values. (btw, my drug of choice is pot, although I don't smoke anywhere near as much as aI used to)
If you believe in the god of one religion, and follow some stuff of that book I would defently define you as religious, but not as fundie

Well, as long as their believes makes sense and you could have a logic discussion with them (yes it is possible to have a logic discussion involving god) I would not consider them mentally handicaped. Most ppl who are religious however can't use logic arguments and are in general stupid. There are however exceptions and I never judge anyone because they are religious, I judge them when I hear why they are religious and when I hear their counterarguments against being religious. So it's really no difference from how I judge any other stupid ppl in society!
Clearly I'm not the only geek with an interest in politics (I expect that at least Tito will get these):
