North Dakota. Yeah, the worst state of them all. I have some paperwork regarding my own green card and stuff to settle and I have to go there personally. Meh, sucks.
I thought you had still to complete your studies in Croatia? How did you go about getting your green card? Oh yeah, why?

Good luck. I find it humerous that I'm making every effort to do the exact opposite.
Have you come any closer to narrowing it down to a specific place? Or are you just hoping for some job opportunity to present itself?

i'd be weary, for three reasons:
1. it's in russia (so far i've seen 3 or more illegal sites for buying mp3's based in russia, granted in this one they might have bothered to remove the group tags from the mp3 and id3, but still it's a reason).
2. which label was that m.w.n.n released on? the art of trance? the GUs? - or in other words, why don't they list labels?
3. do you really think the labels/artists are gaining any profits with that kinda pricetag? think again.
Hmm... Interesting. I was wondering why it was so freakin cheap.

Well, you download tracks or albums once you purchase them. So I already have the "merchandise."

Not that it proves one way or the other if the site is providing legal or illegal downloads, but in its Legal Info found by following the link on bottom it states:

So at least it attempts to have some conveyance of legitimacy. Regardless, I think paying them a $1 is at least an insurance policy agains the RIAA coming onto your back.

i dont think retribution is the reason to get your music legally; more like the fact you enjoy it and want to repay the artists/labels for 1) giving you pleasure, and 2)creating more music that is likely to give you pleasure.

Guys, is it just me or do we need a moderator for PDD? Since Lira left, things have gone somewhat downhill. A moderator should regularly browse or "moderate" PDD, which is why I propose that one of the regulars should be moderator, preferably one of the older regulars who's been around for a while. A few possible candidates who come to mind are occrider, Trancer-X, trancaholic and ogvh5150. What do you guys think? I think a new moderator should be appointed in the absense of Lira.
p.s. I miss Lira.

Not me! Everybody knows that I'm way too controversial!
BTW - whatever happened to Lira, anyway?

He posted a thread in the COR recently, though - predictably - it got bumped off the front page in a couple of hours:
You were another candidate for moderator that I had in mind.

The master plan is to take my certified financial analyst exam (June), get another job, then in 2007 go to Business School or Masters/PhD in economics in Europe (hopefully London business school or london school of economics), and then find a job in London or Australia which have lots of opportunities in my specific concentration.
This assumes I don't run off and start up a dive shop in Thailand or Central America sometime between now and then.

I'm pulling for you, Occ.
BTW - are you at all familiar with Friedrich von Hayek? I recently watched the PBS documentary, Commanding Heights - The Battle For World Economy and his ideas sparked my interest - so I started reading one of his books, The Road to Serfdom.
So far, it's very enlightening - but I don't have a background in finance like you do.
