I didn't have the chance to watch this game, but Australia played against Japan a match a lot more interesting then the one Brazil played against Croatia, and that's one reason why I always claimed I wouldn't be able to root against Australia in that game.
I was in São Paulo at the time, and I wanted to safely make my way to the bus station, so I preferred to go during the game rather than after the final whistle. I saw both goals by chance (if we had visited my girlfriend's aunt a few minutes earlier/later, we wouldn't have seen the first goal; if there were no screens in the bus station showing the game, we wouldn't see the last one either), and I don't know how both teams played overall.
But I really, really wish Australia qualifies. That would make Croatian shirts cheaper, I reckon, and Japan needs to be outplayed by South Korea before they get a stronger team.
I mean, Zico talks to the players through a translator. We were trying to guess whether there was any cultural difference lost in translation. Such as Zico yelling "Oi, you stupid idiot, my grandmother could run faster than you!", and the translator saying something like "Dear player, run a little faster, please"
